Special Meeting October 25 To Interview Superintendent Search Firms

The Eanes ISD Board of Trustees will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, Oct. 25 to interview and potentially select a firm to assist with its search for the next Superintendent of Schools.

On Oct. 19, Eanes ISD Superintendent Dr. Tom Leonard announced his plans to retire. The Eanes ISD Board is launching the search process immediately, with the goal to have the next superintendent in place prior to the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.

The Oct. 25 Special Meeting is at 4pm at the Central Administration building located at 601 Camp Craft Rd. Please note: the meeting protocols will be very different from regular board meetings as the agenda will consist of interviewing three search firms in both open and closed sessions with the Board of Trustees. The first search firm interview begins at approximately 5pm. The open session portions of the meeting will be livestreamed:

Following interviews and discussion, the Board's goal is to select a search firm that evening. Opportunities for community input and involvement will be announced once the search firm is in place.
