Morgen Wilson Merritt, Digital Technology Coordinator
Morgen Wilson Merritt has performed exceptional leadership during the district-wide Canvas LMS rollout. Morgen was instrumental in every phase of this massive transition, from the initial strategic planning and content creation to the successful onboarding of early adopters and the general staff. Her contribution goes far beyond technical support. Morgen has a knack for doing deep research to build knowledge and then thoughtfully introduce her new learning with others in a way that is digestible and easy to understand. She has also strategized with other departments on the communication implementation, ensuring a timely and helpful messaging plan for staff, students and parents. Her tireless work ethic and commitment to teacher training have turned a complex transition into a streamlined success, making a significant and lasting impact on the Eanes ISD educational community.

Adrian Garza, Technology Support Specialist
Adrian consistently demonstrates leadership, creativity, and a commitment to making Hill Country Middle School a more engaging and connected place for students. Whether assisting with technology, troubleshooting challenges, or helping bring new ideas to life, Adrian is always willing to learn, collaborate, and find ways to make experiences more meaningful for students and staff. One example of his innovative impact was helping create an interactive lunch experience tied to the HCMS 50th Anniversary by incorporating music and “Just Dance” activities from 1975. What could have simply been an idea became an engaging opportunity for students to connect, interact, and build community in a fun and memorable way. Adrian approaches his work with curiosity, innovation, and a servant mindset. His positive attitude and willingness to make things happen have made a noticeable and lasting impact on the culture and experiences at HCMS.
Sarah Sansom, Access Control Systems Specialist
Sarah has been a rock star since joining our department. From day one, she impressed us with her adaptability, positive attitude, and willingness to help with whatever was needed. She has a unique ability to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and solve problems with both ease and elegance. Sarah especially deserves this Innovation Award for her work integrating student badges into our access control system - a solution that significantly improved both efficiency and functionality for our district. This accomplishment is just one example of the many improvements she has brought to the everyday operations at Eanes ISD. We are proud to work alongside Sarah and grateful for the positive impact she continues to make on our team and organization.

Everett Edwardsen, Network Administrator
Everett has made an immediate and significant impact on Eanes ISD through his professionalism, technical expertise, and leadership during one of the district’s most challenging situations. During his very first week of employment with the district, Everett was unexpectedly required to respond to a major cybersecurity incident. Despite being new to the organization, he demonstrated exceptional composure, skill, and knowledge throughout the response process. His contributions during the cyber incident directly saved the district considerable time, effort, and financial resources while helping ensure continuity of operations during a critical period. In addition to his response efforts, Everett has implemented enhanced security measures and infrastructure improvements that have strengthened the district’s systems and cybersecurity posture moving forward.
Everett’s dedication, expertise, and proactive approach have already had a meaningful educational and operational impact on Eanes ISD. We greatly appreciate his actions during the incident and look forward to the continued contributions he will bring to the department and the district in the future.
Michael Lobsenz, Camera Systems & Events Specialist
Michael is the kind of person who will not stop until he figures out what is wrong and fixes it. He remains calm under pressure, stays focused, and approaches every challenge with determination and professionalism. His persistence, problem-solving ability, and steady mindset make him an invaluable part of our team.
In addition to his technical expertise, Michael has taken on the important responsibility of managing the A/V operations for Board meetings - a role that can be intimidating and highly visible. He handles these responsibilities with professionalism, confidence, and class, consistently ensuring everything runs smoothly. We are incredibly grateful to work alongside him every day and deeply appreciate the dedication and excellence he brings to Eanes ISD.
Aaron Martin, Systems & Network Coordinator
Aaron’s response, dedication, and professionalism during the district’s recent cybersecurity incident had a significant impact on minimizing disruptions to district operations and reducing the overall length of time systems were affected. Throughout the incident, Aaron consistently demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, composure under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to supporting students, staff, and district operations.
His knowledge and skillset were instrumental in the restoration of critical district systems and applications that staff and students rely upon daily. Aaron worked tirelessly alongside the technology team to identify issues, implement solutions, and ensure services were restored as quickly and securely as possible. His ability to respond effectively during a high-pressure situation was invaluable to the district’s recovery efforts.
Aaron is an integral member of the Technology Services team and someone the district trusts and relies upon for both his technical abilities and his dedication to service. His continued efforts to strengthen and support the district’s technology infrastructure reflect his professionalism, leadership, and commitment to educational excellence.
Jeremy (Moe) Moore, IPM Coordinator & David Stephens, Environmental Compliance Supervisor
Moe and David have consistently gone above and beyond their assigned responsibilities, demonstrating exceptional dedication, teamwork, and professionalism during a critical time for our district. Although plumbing work falls outside of their official job duties, both willingly stepped up to take on plumbing responsibilities when the district experienced a vacancy in that role.
Together, Moe and David exemplify true teamwork and servant leadership. Their willingness to step outside their normal roles to support the district during a staffing shortage reflects their outstanding character, compassion, and commitment to Eanes ISD. They handled challenges with professionalism, determination, and efficiency, ensuring critical issues were resolved quickly and effectively. Their efforts have earned the respect and appreciation of everyone fortunate enough to work alongside them, and their contributions have not gone unnoticed.
