Educational Impact

Those who display leadership and commitment to the district by making a positive, noticeable and significant impact.

Katie Coleman, 4th-Grade Team Lead Teacher
Katie Coleman has been at the forefront of setting the educational bar in Eanes ISD for 6 years now. She has served as an incredible teacher, mentor, team lead, curriculum writer, DEI member, and countless other roles. She always puts the education and progress of our students first. She strives to help her teammates create a rigorous yet fun classroom environment and she's an expert at meeting kids where they are and making a connection that makes them WANT to learn. We all have so much to be grateful for with an educator like Katie Coleman.

Da Delano, Special Ed TA
There is no more patient, kind, loving, wonderful person than Da Delano. She brings a smile and joy to our classroom and to the student she serves day in and day out. She is the first to advocate for student needs both inside and outside of the classroom. She teaches with love and uses logical, natural consequences and boundaries to set the tone and teach lessons in the classroom and throughout student life. Da helps keep track of multiple tools and pieces of equipment and helps make Eanes more accessible- it's a lot to keep track of and she does it with grace! She does anything needed throughout the day- including running up and down ramps, and encouraging cars to honk at any opportunity- to bring a smile and joy to her student's face. She truly inspires us to lead with light, kindness, and love. Thank you, Da, for truly making a life-changing difference here at Eanes Elementary.

Brittany Jennings, 1st-Grade Teacher
Ms. Jennings is an exceptional teacher whose care for her students shines through in everything she does. Ms. Jennings is a master at creating a welcoming classroom environment for all students. She never fails to adapt her lessons and collaborate with other teachers to meet each of her students' unique needs. Ms. Jennings classroom community feels like a family. It is amazing to watch how accepting her students are, and it definitely comes from Ms. Jennings' beautiful example. She shows so much respect for each students' individual journey. Ms. Jennings is definitely an educational leader on our campus, and we would not be the same without her!

Annie Simmons, 1st-Grade Teacher
From day one Annie has jumped into EISD with her whole heart. She in involved in several committees on campus including CLT, DEI and the district DEI on top of teaching first grade. She is also a part of Central Texas Writing Project this year!  Annie cares deeply and her joy is infectious.  Her classroom is a warm, safe place for students to learn where everyone feels welcome and included.  We are so lucky to have Annie as a part of our Eanes Elementary family.

Stephanie Wright, Special Education Teacher
Stephanie Wright is an educator and leader who inspires those around her daily.  She leads our EE Best Buddies program and supports the implementation of this incredible program across the district.  Additionally, Ms. Wright is our special education team leader, quietly and graciously supporting students and staff members in a number of ways.  She is patient, poised, kind, and articulate, always communicating with great respect and care.  Ms. Wright is an Institute for Excellence graduate, and her leadership is greatly admired by peers across the district.  Ms. Wright strongly advocates for our students who receive specialized services, working with our PTO to support accessibility and inclusive approaches in our campus-wide event planning.  Ms. Stephanie Wright could truly fall into every category highlighted, but today we honor her as a recipient of the Educational Impact award.

Good Samaritan

One who displays compassion, selflessness, or courage by taking initiative.

Dad’s on Duty at EE, Volunteers
Our dads on duty are awesome. They have been coming to do morning arrival duty for several years on Fridays. This year, we asked if they could have two dads come Monday - Thursday to help keep our gates secure at morning arrival. They get up early, come to school, and have such positive energy with our staff and students. They greet each student as they come through the gate and make EVERY Mustang feel welcome, included, seen, and like they belong. They sometimes dress up for different seasons, bring music, and are incredible. Thank you to all our dads who come to EE to make our school have a community feel. We appreciate you, and our school is better because of you! You are heroes, Good Samaritans, innovative and make an educational impact on the social and emotional well-being of our students every day!

Heroes

Those who perform an outstanding achievement that brings prestige to Eanes ISD, or do something that goes above and beyond the call of duty.

Robert Barrientez, Roberto Aguilar, Angelina Falcon and Chris Dalton, Custodians
Our Eanes custodians are amazing! They work tirelessly to make sure our campus is clean and safe. You can always find them hard at work, cleaning classrooms, the gym, the cafeteria, our playgrounds and outdoor spaces. They are everywhere on this large sprawling campus - we know they get steps in every day! They are true campus Heroes to us all.

Cynthia Wilganowski, Campus Secretary
Cindy is one of our staff members who makes big difference at Eanes Elementary. She helps the substitutes know where to go and she makes sure all classes always have an adult present. Cindy greets everyone with a smile and manages little crises all though out the day with a smile and without a ruffle. Cindy makes sure students receive their lunches when delivered in the middle of the day and that students know where to go when there is a dismissal change at the end of the day. Somehow, Cindy is able to manage all these activities at the front desk and contact parents to schedule 504 meetings. Cindy makes significant impact at Eames Elementary by always being positive and welcoming. We are lucky to have Cindy Wilganoski at Eanes Elementary.
