Educational Impact
Those who display leadership and commitment to the district by making a positive, noticeable and significant impact.
Erika Cassel, Teaching Assistant
Ms. Cassel is always there for the students at ATS, spending countless hours not only during the day but on evenings and weekends supporting students and families. She is always willing to go the extra mile and volunteer for additional duties to support ATS Bats and the Eanes Family. You may find her driving students to early morning events, supporting on the Special Olympics Field, or patiently working with a student in the classroom at ATS. This is all done with great patience, calm, and grace. We are so thankful for Ms. Erika!
Pegi Pickett, Special Education Teacher, Head of Delegation Special Olympics
Ms. Pickett has led our Special Olympics program for 20 years and has always gone above and beyond in providing our students and families with an unforgettable experience. Her leadership with Special Olympics is a testament to her commitment to providing all athletes an opportunity to shine. She will forever be linked to Special Olympics in Eanes ISD. Ms. Pickett is a great leader, a great listener, compassionate, innovative, accommodating, and resourceful. She is well respected and loved by students and staff.
Penny Shepherd, Long-term Substitute
Ms. Shepherd has been our long-term sub since September and we could not run a successful program for our students without her. She works very closely with our ATS students, and they adore her. She is an excellent team member and is very flexible and willing to take on any assignment. Ms. Shepherd has become a valuable asset to our ATS team and is truly amazing!
Scott Telles, Substitute
Mr. Telles has been a lifesaver for the past several years with our Adult Transition Program. He comes in to work with the students weekly and is so great with all of them. His willingness to work with any students in any capacity is a testament to his loyalty to our program and his sincere passion for working with this incredible population of students. With his positive attitude and playful spirit, he wins them over every time he comes in. We recognize Mr. Telles for his constant, steadfast reliability and his commitment to our students.
Good Samaritan
One who displays compassion, selflessness, or courage by taking initiative.
Chele Robinette, Parent Volunteer
Ms. Robinette has supported staff, students, and the entire ATS Community for years, and her tireless efforts are greatly appreciated. She has organized our parent group and is always the first to raise her hand if a need ever arises. The parent group at ATS has never been more organized or involved, thanks to her efforts. She also always goes above and beyond with the ATS Thanksgiving Feast. The feast has been a wonderful tradition for the last decade, and for the last few years, it has been better than ever. Ms. Robinette and her husband contribute an incredible amount of time, effort, and resources to organize families and make it all possible. We can't thank Ms. Robinette enough for her effort, creativity, and support. The ATS staff has never felt more love and appreciation.
