Westlake High School senior Reuben Paul and junior Grant Steinauer were named finalists for the Outstanding High School Entrepreneur Award. The award was created to recognize high school students who demonstrate an early inclination to entrepreneurship and business leadership.
On Tuesday, October 10, Patrice Bartlett, with the Texas Business Hall of Fame (TBHF), named Reuben as the recipient of the TBHF Outstanding High School Entrepreneur Award. He will receive his award on November 2nd in San Antonio at the Awards Luncheon and will take part in the recognition of our Future Legend Award recipients at the Induction Dinner.
The group was so impressed with Grant and the other finalist, so for the first time ever, TBHF has also invited both finalists to attend the Induction Dinner. Seven Hall of Fame Legends will be inducted this year, including Beaver Aplin (President of Buc-ee’s), Kit Goldsbury (former President of Pace and Founder of Silver Ventures who redid the Pearl Brewery), Janet Gurwitch (Founder of Laura Mercier and part owner of the Astros) and Daniel Lubetzky (Founder of KIND Snacks).
The award comes with a $2,000 cash prize and also becomes a permanent part of the TBHF network, with access to events, networking and programming.
In 2022, Reuben Paul founded Notifeye with his Incubator team, a company that uses a dashcam with AI/ML software, also coded by Reuben, to detect distracted driving and keep drivers safe. Notifeye won first place in the National INCubatoredu and school pitch competitions securing more than $30K in seed money. He is also a code developer for an SAT tutoring company working to engineer a way for students to take practice tests online in preparation for the digital SAT coming in 2024. Reuben serves the student body as the Senior Class President, volunteers for his church youth group as a drummer, and is a third-degree Kung Fu Black Belt and a USA Gymnast. He founded his charity organization, CyberShaolin, at the age of 9, which has taught 3500+ kids globally about online safety. Reuben is a respected public speaker, who has delivered more than 30 keynotes in 11+ countries on various cybersecurity/technology topics, earning his charity thousands of dollars in donations. Reuben is interested in pursuing a business major with a focus on entrepreneurship and plans to own a successful business using his technology skills to benefit society.

Passionate about engineering and design, Grant Steinauer started his collection of 3D printers in elementary school. His business pursuits have evolved over time - from selling 3D printed items on the school bus to an online 3D printing business, GS3Dimensional. His business has generated more than $40K in total revenue in the past two years. Grant sells his 3D-printed products online, monthly at a farmer’s market and through a wholesale arrangement with a boutique. His niche is university iconic buildings and custom building designs. Grant's company is an approved vendor for the University of Texas and his largest client in the last year. UT purchased several lighted UT Towers for retirement parties, and alumni events overseas. Grant says he has at least six printers running twenty-four hours a day seven days a week in his growing business. Grant is certified in SolidWorks (CAD program), and is the Additive Manufacturing Lead for his high school robotics team. He is also a member of the Westlake High School golf and baseball teams. After high school, Grant plans to study Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Additive Manufacturing. His dream is to continue designing products that will satisfy a need or make someone smile.
