Jeff Greenwalt was sworn in as Interim Police Chief at the Jan. 14 Eanes ISD Board meeting.
Greenwalt started his police career in 2001 with the Austin Police Department. During his 24 years at APD, he worked patrol in Northeast Austin as well as downtown before promoting to detective and investigating violent crimes for more than eight years. After being promoted to a supervisor, he oversaw many investigative and intelligence units throughout the department. In August of 2022, he was named Assistant Chief. where he remained until his retirement in May 2025.
