The Eanes Education Foundation (EEF) Board of Directors announced they have raised more than $2.65 million during the 2022-23 school year to help further their mission of funding teachers who provide and sustain district-wide opportunities for educational excellence within Eanes ISD. The $2.65 million will fund 50+ teaching positions for the 2023-24 year. The EEF Board also approved an “EEF Board-Donated Gift” totaling $242,000, distributed as a year-end gift to all educators in EISD.
“We are thrilled with the results we have received with this year’s community involvement and generous support of EEF’s various fundraisers including Teacher Fund, Leadership Society, Gala and Honor a Teacher,” said Holly Noel, president of the EEF Board of Directors. “Our goal each year is to educate more parents and community members on the importance of EEF and the Eanes Endowment. All of the money we raise is for our educators who make a direct, positive impact on all of the children in our community. This year has been an incredible year thanks to our many volunteers, corporate sponsors and dedicated donors.”
EEF Executive Director Dana Meserole DeLorenzo added, “We are thankful to live in a community that supports our children and their education at such a high level. Since starting three years ago during the pandemic, I have seen our community come together to ensure our educators and students are truly supported in the best possible ways. I truly believe we are all better together—teachers, students, parents, booster clubs, EEF - and we can continue to make an even bigger impact in the next school year.”
“Now more than ever, we turn to EEF to help support our schools and, incredibly, they continually surpass expectations,” said Dr. Jeff Arnett, EISD Superintendent. “We are thankful for our partnership with EEF and we appreciate the community’s support of our teachers and schools. Eanes ISD would look very different if not for EEF's generosity.”
EEF was created in 1991 in order to help to bridge the gap between an adequate education as defined by the state of Texas, and the standard of educational excellence for which EISD is known. EEF helps fund key positions on each of the ten district campuses which includes specialists, librarians, counselors, school nurses, AP teachers, gifted/talented teachers, and many more educators whose positions the state of Texas does not fund or require. They provide diverse, innovative, and cutting-edge programming, contributing to the excellent education the Eanes community expects.
Since its inception, EEF has granted over $31 million to fund more than 625 positions for EISD. Funds are raised by EEF through numerous events and fundraisers throughout the year, the foremost of which are the Teacher Fund Campaign, presented by Independence Title Company, the EEF Gala, presented by Other World Computing (OWC) and Honor A Teacher, presented by Northern Trust.
