Congratulations to our Chap Band students, staff, parents and families on their success at the UIL Area H Marching Band Contest this past weekend! Twenty-two bands from Austin and San Antonio competed in preliminary competition. The finals portion of the event was canceled due to inclement weather. In one of the most competitive regions of the state, the Chap Band placed 3rd overall, qualifying them to compete at the 6A UIL State Marching Contest on November 3rd & 4th!
The Band will compete in preliminary competition at 11:15am on Monday November 3rd at the Alamodome in San Antonio. If they advance, they will perform again in State Finals on Tuesday November 4th!
Please join us for a send-off performance on Sunday, November 2nd at 6:30pm in the Stadium!
The Band would like to extend a big “Thank You!” to all who’ve supported their efforts this season, including the Westlake Faculty and Staff, Eanes ISD Administration, Athletics, Transportation, and M&O Departments, the Westlake Band Parents, and the Westlake Community.
