Our Board of Trustees is composed of seven members serving three-year terms. School board members, elected from and representing their local communities, are entrusted with the responsibility of policy making and promoting educational excellence for the school district, and receive no compensation.

Transfer Students

The New Out-of-District Transfer Application is now open.
Notifications about acceptance will start in early May and continue throughout the summer as seats become available. This is not a time-stamped or lottery process but we do encourage families to submit as soon as possible.

A Transfer student is a child who does not live within the Eanes ISD boundaries, and is approved to enroll at an Eanes ISD school, or a student who lives within the Eanes ISD boundaries and is approved to attend an EISD campus different from their zoned/home campus.

Eanes ISD accepts and enrolls Transfer students on an annual basis dependent upon program availability, available space at campuses, attendance, tardies, academic performance and disciplinary history. Eanes ISD does not accept all students who apply for a transfer.

Transfer students are subject to annual review and approval in accordance with the Eanes ISD Transfer Policies; however, at any time, a transfer may be revoked for students failing to meet the maintain eligibility criteria.

Next Steps for the 2026-27 school year

New Transfer

New Out-of-District Transfer Student

An Out-of-District transfer is a student who resides outside the Eanes ISD attendance area and is requesting placement at a campus within Eanes ISD.

Your family will complete the following steps:

Complete the Out-of-District Transfer Application
If approved to transfer, complete New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE) in Skyward Family Access.
Pay transfer fee associated with the student’s Skyward account, following the first day of attendance in the new school year. The 2026-27 transfer fee is $250 per student.

New In-District Transfer Student

An In-District transfer is a student who resides within the Eanes ISD attendance area and is requesting placement at a campus other than the student's home/zoned campus.

Your family will complete the following steps:

Complete the annual Student Information Verification (SIV) for each student in Skyward Family Access. SIV will open in March.
Alert your current campus registrar that you wish to request placement at a campus other than your home/zoned campus for the next school year. The registrar will provide you with next steps.

Returning Transfer

A currently enrolled in-district or out-of-district transfer student who intends to return for the next school year, will be expected to return to the current Eanes ISD campus he/she currently attends or to the next campus in the feeder pattern.

Returning Out-of-District Transfer Student

Your family will complete the following steps:

Complete the annual Student Information Verification (SIV) for each student in Skyward Family Access. SIV will open in March. No separate transfer application is required for currently enrolled transfer students.
Pay transfer fee associated with the student’s Skyward account, following the first day of attendance in the new school year. The 2026-27 transfer fee is $250 per student.

Returning In-District Transfer Student

Your family will complete the following steps:

Complete the annual Student Information Verification (SIV) for each student in Skyward Family Access. SIV will open in March. No separate transfer application is required for currently enrolled transfer students.
If your student will attend their home/zoned campus for the next school year, alert your current campus registrar.

Employee Transfer

A student who has a parent/guardian who is employed by Eanes ISD based on an equivalent full-time position with eligibility for District-paid benefits. Eanes ISD will verify the parent/guardian’s employment status prior to the start of school. If the employee is no longer eligible for this benefit, the District will consider eligibility as an out-of-district transfer.

Returning Employee Transfer Student

A currently enrolled employee transfer student who intends to return for the next school year will be expected to return to the current Eanes ISD campus he/she currently attends or to the next campus in the feeder pattern.

Your family will complete the following steps:

Complete the annual Student Information Verification (SIV) for each student in Skyward Family Access. SIV will open in March. No separate transfer application is required for currently enrolled transfer students.

New Employee Transfer Student

Your family will complete the following steps:

Complete the Employee New Transfer Request Form
Complete New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE)
