Eanes ISD

District Named to AP Honor Roll

Eanes ISD is one of 26 Texas school districts and 447 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board with placement on the 8th Annual AP® District Honor Roll. To qualify, Eanes ISD increased the number of students participating in AP while also increasing or maintaining the percentage of students earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher.

In the spring of 2017, a total of 3,881 AP tests were administered at Westlake High School. Approximately 75 percent scored a three or higher.

"Congratulations to our hard-working students at all levels who are focused on their academics every day and to our educators who interface with them to succeed at such a high level," said Superintendent Dr. Tom Leonard. "This recognition is because of staff efforts focused on improving student performance and increasing the number of AP tests taken annually."

This is the second time Eanes ISD has been named to the list.

In 2017, more than 4,000 colleges and universities around the world received AP scores for college credit, advanced placement, or both, and/or consideration in the admission process. Inclusion on the 8th Annual AP District Honor Roll is based on a review of three years of AP data, from 2015 to 2017, looking across 37 AP Exams, including world language and culture.
