Inclusive Culture (2019)

The EISD Community Building Group on Inclusive Culture was an advisory group to the Eanes ISD Board of Trustees. Community Building Group on Inclusive Culture was specifically charged to study and identify current practices around inclusion in the following areas:

• disability awareness for schools and community 
• academics 
• extra-curricular activities
• parental involvement 

Additionally this group studied other districts' practices in these areas and identified potential recommendations to the executive administration team and the Board of Trustees. The final decision regarding any recommendation from Community Building Group rests with the Board of Trustees.

All group activity aligned with the Eanes ISD strategic values, priorities and goals. Group considerations may have academic, financial, contractual, and transportation impacts on students, staff and community members; as such, objectivity, creativity and resourcefulness are essential.
