Early Release Days
Early release days are built into the school calendar to ensure teachers have dedicated time for planning, collaboration and professional learning that directly supports student success. Beginning this school year, the District eliminated the PLC (Professional Learning Community) period for staff at the middle schools and high school. To continue providing meaningful time for teachers to plan instruction, analyze student data and collaborate across content areas, early release days serve as an important alternative structure to give teachers more time.

The Teaching & Learning Department works closely with campus leaders and staff to develop effective strategies for teacher planning and collaboration during these early release times. This approach allows teachers to focus on strengthening instruction while minimizing disruptions to daily classroom learning, ultimately benefiting students across all campuses.

Early Release days are for grades K-12 unless otherwise noted:  

• September 17, 2025
• December 10, 2025
• December 19, 2025
• January 28, 2026 - canceled due to ice days on Jan. 26 & 27
• February 25, 2025
• May 22 2026

Elementary Parent Conference Days
Elementary parent conference days are to allow for teachers to meet with each family. 2025-26 Elementary Parent Conference days off are October 30 & 31, 2025. On these days Middle and High schools will have a regular school day on October 30, 2025 and an early release on October 31, 2025.
