Eanes ISD voters approved an $80 million bond proposal Saturday that includes projects in safety & security, student programs & support, energy efficiency & conservation, and facilities. Reference Points for the 86th Texas Legislature
For several weeks, the Eanes ISD administration has considered interest in and the feasibility of expanding the Futuro Spanish Immersion program in 2018-19 to one or more of the four remaining elementary schools.
Eanes ISD voters overwhelmingly passed the proposed tax ratification, or Penny Swap & Drop proposition by 89 percent in the November 7 election. The TRE approval lowers the overall Eanes ISD tax rate by more than a penny to $1.20 and adds an estimated $3 million of non-recapturable funds to the district's operating budget.
We are excited to officially kick off the program this year, which will streamline services including transportation and cafeteria meal transactions as well as coordinate campus dismissal preferences electronically with parents of elementary students.
