Educational Impact

Those who display leadership and commitment to the district by making a positive, noticeable and significant impact.

Ms. Stephanie Cowan, 4th-Grade Teacher
Ms. Cowan is an outstanding teacher who champions the improvement of her students, her colleagues, and the Cedar Creek culture. She believes that student voice and choice are what students need in order to feel empowered within their learning environment. Her main goal is for all of her students to succeed and she works diligently to help all of her students master each lesson. Students love her passion and the humor and anecdotes she so cleverly incorporates into their learning!  She has spent many hours after school to help create, develop, and implement several exciting changes to the Student Council program this year and students love it. Ms. Cowan strives for excellence in all she does and CCE is lucky to have such a selfless and impressive educator among us.

Ms. Allison Eicke, Campus Support Specialist
Ms. Eicke leads our monthly Tier 2 meetings with such professionalism and preparation. She always has her data ready, is able to ask reflective questions and truly wants to help all students be successful! She offers support to teachers by sharing instructional strategies and even presented a specialized training to CCE and other campuses in the district. She is the utmost professional who wants everyone to succeed!

Ms. Sara Perez, Instructional Partner
Ms. Perez has done a fantastic job as Instructional Partner this year. She has made our Tier 2 meetings very organized, productive, and streamlined. She listens to teachers' concerns and helps the campus solve various problems. She is a wonderful communicator when setting up and leading meetings for our staff. She is professional, organized, friendly, and she is a fabulous partner and colleague!

Those who perform an outstanding achievement that brings prestige to Eanes ISD, or do something that goes above and beyond the call of duty.

Ms. Vann Bennett, Parent and Substitute Teacher
Nothing says above and beyond like saving a life! Earlier this year, Ms. Bennett rushed in to save a student’s life when the student began choking in the cafeteria. She kept her cool and kept administering the Heimlich maneuver until the student’s airway was clear. Her quick thinking and willingness to help are truly appreciated. Ms. Bennett is a true hero at CCE!

Ms. Sherry Bulluck, School Nurse
In another incredible life-saving event, Ms. Bulluck was quick to recognize the signs of a potentially life-threatening health risk and drove that person to the hospital. It turns out it was a lifesaving decision and that person is on the way to a good recovery. Thank you to our school nurse who is wonderful and is an important part of our everyday life at school for all students, staff, and parents.

Ms. Meredith Elhassan, Parent Volunteer
Rain or shine, Ms. Elhassan can be found in the Cedar Creek library every day. Her reliability and trustworthiness help make the library programs successful. She is always quick with a smile or a joke and boosts morale wherever she goes. Ms. Elhassan is thoughtful and compassionate to our entire staff. She frequently brings treats and homemade food for teachers and office staff. She is kind and considerate to the students, paying special attention and saving small jobs for those who love to help. Her commitment to public education is evident through her willingness to give freely of her time and energy. We are so fortunate to have Ms. Elhassan as part of our Cedar Creek family.

Ms. Cathy York, Parent Volunteer
Ms. York is constantly volunteering at CCE! She helps students, teachers and fellow parents and is such a bright, positive personality no matter what the situation! Ms. York is always there to help and support every event and every teacher. She thinks outside of the box to find new, better ways to do things - all with improving CCE at the top of her mind. We love her tenacity and willingness to take on any project with fervor! CCE is a better place because of Ms. York's joy!
