Cedar Creek ES EANESpiration Winners, 2021
Those who display leadership and commitment to the district by making a positive, noticeable and significant impact.
Susan Bienz, Long Term Substitute
Susan Bienz has a full-throttle commitment to her position and her school. Susan is one of our Permanent Long Term Subs. Her position takes her to all the classrooms in the building and keeps her busy every day. Not only does Susan perform her duties, she does them with the confidence and ease of a veteran teacher. Her duties this year require her to connect quarantining at-home teachers to their in-person students and she does this not just through technology but in continuing to create the warm environment that their teachers would have made for the students in the classroom. When Susan has a spare moment she seeks out any teacher who could need an extra hand and is the first to take something off of their plate. Her selflessness, great attitude, and hard work have made an extremely positive impact on education here at CCE this year and has helped to bring comfort to this crazy year.
Amanda Douglass, Teacher/Teaching Assistant
Amanda Douglass is a teacher who, for personal reasons, chose to be a Teacher Assistant this school year. Mrs. Douglass blends her training, experience and energies to be a versatile and outstanding asset to our academic team. In her role as a Teacher Assistant, she has covered remarkable learning groups, many of which are unique coverages required by in-building and remote learning options. She is eager, willing and most flexible. She is always solution-oriented, upbeat and committed to being the solution. She connects with her students, keeps teaching colleagues informed and represents both Cedar Creek and our profession at the highest levels. During this most complicated year, Amanda Douglass has served Cedar Creek students, staff and community above and beyond all expectations. She makes a difference.
Erin Levy, GT Teacher
Erin Levy helped first grade implement a math enrichment packet for students and provided all the needed resources. She has been working after hours every day, trying to finish testing, and works late frequently. She puts in so many hours to help so many and is incredibly selfless with all she does.
Those who perform an outstanding achievement that brings prestige to Eanes ISD, or do something that goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Jose Barajas, Head Custodian
Jose is one of those people that goes above & beyond the call of duty! Last year at Cedar Creek we became short-staffed in October and Jose stepped up and took care of the school and staff without missing a step! And even though we're short-staffed, he just continues to go above and beyond without complaint. We appreciate everything he does at Cedar Creek Elementary for the students, parents and also for the custodial staff.
Andrea Depwe, Office Secretary
Andrea works so hard to keep on top of the ever-changing attendance for our students and staff. Andrea stepped in as a substitute last year to cover the vacant school secretary position. Andrea was then hired for the position this year to help us out. Andrea is committed and goes above and beyond to help everyone here at Cedar Creek. She is always thinking of ways to decorate the office to make it feel like a happy place to be. We love and appreciate her very much.
