Educational Impact Award
Those who display leadership and commitment to the district by making a positive, noticeable and significant impact.
Ms. Leslie Abbott
Ms. Abbott has been an invaluable member of the BCE team in the short time she has been with us this year! She goes above and beyond every day to meet the needs of ALL students, not just the students with whom she works the closest. She is always thinking of new ways to help students reach their goals and has their best interests at heart. She is inspiring, dependable, honest and a very hard worker. She brings a happy energy everywhere she goes and puts a smile on everyone's face! We could not have had such a successful year without her!
Ms. Ashley Pampe
Ashley is our Campus Ed Tech - but she does so much more than what her daily duties require. She is always ready and willing to jump in and help a teacher or student regardless of her constant to-do list. She goes above and beyond the expectations and is always coming up with creative solutions to all of our needs. She doesn't make you feel bad when a simple fix was all that was needed, and she will take the time to sit down with you to brainstorm a complicated google form, help you create a blog or research and teach you how to use an app that will help your students. She is always sending us useful information and tips that we can genuinely use in our classrooms. Ashley reaches and teaches ALL students on our campus. She finds resources that help not only our k-5 grade levels but also our students with various special needs.
Ms. Pam Stryker
Ms. Stryker is an amazing teacher whose passion for science is evident in everything she does. She loves sharing that passion with her students, which makes a huge impact on their learning. Whether it's creating exciting & informative lessons, applying skills with fun science labs, or planning interesting science field trips, Ms. Stryker is consistently enriching the education & lives of her students. She is also wonderful with sharing her knowledge of science & teaching with fellow teachers & potential teachers. She is ensuring that great science curriculum will be taught to students long after she leaves the classroom!
Those who perform an outstanding achievement that brings prestige to Eanes ISD, or go above and beyond the call of duty.
Ms. Maria Cantu
Ms. Lulu gives selflessly to staff and children, and is an integral part of the BCE family. She is incredibly kind and welcoming to anyone who comes into the cafeteria at BCE and makes everyone feel special. She frequently makes food for the staff on special occasions as well as special, random treats. She cares for the children as if they were her own and makes sure everyone has something to eat that they like. She is flexible, hard-working, and puts a smile on anyone's face to interacts with her.
Annie Lopez and Lorenzo Arias
Ms. Lopez and Mr. Arias are the backbone of BCE! They are constantly going above and beyond the call of duty and we could not do our job without them. They are both so quick to respond to any request or need we may have. They are thorough in their cleaning and make sure that we have the best environment for learning as possible. The best thing about Ms. Lopez and Mr. Arias is their kindness and love of children! They have a very high level of respect for each child, staff member and parent they meet. We are so very lucky to have them as a part of our BCE family and beyond grateful for all that they do!
Good Samaritan Award
One who displays compassion, selflessness, or courage by taking initiative.
Ms. Nancy Grimm
Ms. Grimm has been invaluable in the set-up of the new literacy library, a project graciously supported by the Barton Creek Booster Club. From the beginning, she volunteered many hours in helping with the clean-up, re-shelving, and organization of the former literacy library so the teachers would have access to those books that were still appropriate for reading instruction. Once the first shipment of new books arrived, she then began the process with others to catalogue, bag, label, and shelve all of the new books. She continued to do this for countless hours up through the final shipment which she completed the process in two days! Had it not been for Ms. Grimm, our students and teachers would have had to wait to begin reading this wonderful collection of new books! Thank you, Nancy, for giving your time and talents to the BCE community!
