Early Childhood Program

The Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classes provide early intervention services for children with disabilities alongside their peers, through language-based child-centered activities.

All students are taught Preschool curriculum by certified special education teachers in the areas of literacy, numeracy, language, socialization, and independence skills through Frog Street Curriculum.

Peer Models must have age appropriate verbal, behavioral, social, and self-help skills (including being toilet-trained).

Program Details

Calendar: ECSE follows the Eanes ISD calendar

Daily Schedule: 7:45am-1:45pm

Transportation: Parents are responsible for drop off and pickup and buses are not available. In the case of late drop off or early pick up, parents must go to the Eanes Elementary front office to sign the student in or out.

What to Bring: Snack and water daily and a set of extra clothes (labeled with name)

Lunch: Lunch is served daily in the cafeteria. Students may bring or buy their lunch.

*It is important that students come daily dressed appropriately for the weather (layers are encouraged) and wear sneakers that allow them to run and play*

Steps to Becoming a Peer Model

Apply for your child to be a peer model through this application.
You will be notified of a date for your child to attend a peer model screening.
The duration of the peer model screening is roughly 45 minutes.
Parents/Guardians will attend an information session during their child’s screening.
You will receive notification if your child was accepted into the program via an email.
If your child was accepted for the program, you will receive a welcome packet from your child’s teacher (usually in the beginning of August).
Children accepted will need to be enrolled into Eanes Elementary School by their parent/guardian.
Tuition for Peer Models is $500 per semester. Pay Tuition here.
