Post-secondary transition planning is a universal strategy for all parents and students. For parents that have a child with a disability, specially designed collaboration with their school team, community, and other agencies is vital. We have amazing parents and special educators working together for the future! Eanes is proud to co-host the Destination Life Transition Virtual Fair
Eanes ISD offers a free and appropriate public education to all children ages 3- 21. Services for students who are deaf-blind, visually impaired or auditorily impaired begin at birth.
We are committed to providing every student with a disability an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in the least restrictive environment that addresses the student’s unique needs. We offer a full continuum of services through specially designed instruction in special education or general education with modifications, special education support, supplementary aids and services and related services.
In consideration of the ongoing pandemic, it is the decision of the district's special education administration to table the 2021-2022 peer model application and screening process until summer 2021. Interested parents are asked to monitor the Eanes ISD website/Special Education Dept page (and/or elementary campus newsletters) for further information or updates.
