If you have worked for any of the following school systems, please submit a Texas Service Record:
- Texas Private Schools
- Out‐of‐State Public or Private Schools
- Texas and Out‐of‐State Colleges or University
- Texas Public Schools
You must request your service record(s) from the last school district where you were employed. You can have them sent directly to EISD or to your home address, where you can submit to EISD with your new hire paperwork. (HR can provide a blank service record for out‐of‐state service.)
PLEASE NOTE: ORIGINAL SERVICE RECORDS ARE NEEDED FOR SERVICE YEAR SALARY CREDIT AND STATE (Texas only) LEAVE CREDIT. PHOTOCOPIED OR FAXED RECORDS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
It is the employee’s responsibility to submit the appropriate forms to their former employers and to provide fully completed service record forms to HR. Upon receiving the completed service record forms, HR staff will review the forms and determine whether the service meets the required criteria established by the Texas Education Agency. Teachers will receive credit for only those years which meet TEA criteria. Any service credit granted will count toward placement on the EISD salary scale.
