Administrative Guidelines for District Grass Play Fields – Rules and Regulations
Eanes ISD makes district facilities and properties available for rental to individuals. All rental agreements must adhere to the District’s contractual requirements as well as the restrictions outlined in these guidelines.
To preserve the quality and longevity of district grass play fields, all event organizers and vendors are required to comply with the following guidelines:
General Use Policy
- Grass play fields may be reserved for events such as carnivals, field days, and similar activities.
- Event planning must include measures to protect the turf, with particular attention to high-traffic areas and locations prone to water pooling.
Prohibited Activities
- Water inflatables (including water slides, slip-and-slides, inflatable splash zones, or any inflatable requiring continuous water flow or pooling) are strictly prohibited.
- Foam pits are not permitted under any circumstances.
- No activity may create standing or pooled water on any portion of the field.
Permitted with Conditions
Amusements that do not require water (e.g., dry bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses) may be permitted under the following conditions:
- All inflatables must be anchored using water barrels or other district-approved weights.
- Water barrels must be drained away from the grass surface at the conclusion of the event.
- Entrance and exit mats must be installed at all high-traffic points to minimize turf damage.
Vendor and Operator Responsibilities
- All vendors and amusement operators must be notified of these requirements in advance.
- Compliance with these guidelines is mandatory and subject to district review.
THE DISTRICT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CLOSE ALL GRASS FIELDS
