Mission 

The mission of the Eanes Independent School District’s (EISD) Child Nutrition Department, recognizing the vital relationship of nutrition and education, is to ensure that every student is offered high quality, well-balanced, nutritious meals with friendly service by qualified staff, while observing high sanitation and safety standards, utilizing cost effective foodservice management practices, and following the child nutrition program guidelines.

Welcome Students & Parents!

The EISD Child Nutrition Department look forward to School Year 2021-2022, and we welcome you back for a successful and healthy year. We invite you to try our food and we appreciate any feedback and suggestions. The Child Nutrition team has been trained in procedures to maintain the highest level of safety and health for our students, staff and parents. 

Elementary School Students & Parents
The Child Nutrition Department is happy to announce as part of the nationwide COVID Relief and Recovery Act, all Eanes ISD elementary students will have the opportunity for: 

  • Free grab & go breakfast/snacks daily (a shelf-stable entrée, fruit & milk option)
  • Free lunch daily (does not include a la carte items)
    • A lunch consists of 5 components (meat/meat alternate, grain, vegetable, fruit, and milk), and the student must select at minimum 3 of the 5 components to be considered a lunch. 
    • One of the selected components must include at least one fruit or one vegetable to be considered a lunch.
