Perfect ACT Score
Westlake junior Keyur Mehta (pictured with Westlake Principal Linda Rawlings) has achieved a perfect composite score of 36 on the ACT college admission and placement exam! This is a significant and rare achievement that on average, less than one-tenth of one percent of all test takers earn. Among ACT-tested U.S. high school graduates in the class of 2011, only 704 out of more than 1.6 million students earned a composite score of 36. Keyur was also recognized for his work on his science and engineering team project that advanced from the Austin Energy Regional Science Festival to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh earlier this month. Keyur’s project on the Discovery of Novel Therapeutic Cancer Agents, won 2nd place overall and a 4th place category award from the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
