School Safety and Health Advisory Council
The School Safety and Health Advisory Council (SSHAC) is a group of parents and staff members representing all EISD schools that studies relevant issues regarding the health and well-being of students and makes recommendations to the district.
During the preceding school year, the district's School Safety and Health Advisory Council held eight meetings. Additional information regarding the district's School Safety and Health Advisory Council is available from Bill Bechtol, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
The SSHAC has been instrumental in promoting CPR training and obtaining additional Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) for campuses. Other activities of this group include: organizing health fairs, participating in underage drinking prevention programs, and hosting an annual reception for emergency responders.
