District Curriculum
The Eanes ISD core curriculum framework is developed to ensure mastery of the state-mandated Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. District curriculum documents are reviewed annually by teacher leaders and revised in response to analysis of assessment data. The documents posted reflect the scope of topics studied as well as the sequence of presentation. Some concepts are explicitly repeated in the documents due to required depth of instruction; however, other concepts may appear only once as a target sequence for mastery. Even though some concepts may not be repeated for all students, the documents reflect the "guaranteed and viable" (Marzano, 2007) curriculum in Eanes ISD. This means there is a commitment among the instructional team members, the classroom teacher, instructional partner, and campus support specialists, to ensure mastery and report progress on the listed expectations.
