The Eanes ISD Business Services Office oversees all district finances and the annual budget development process. Purchasing, accounting and asset management are some of the responsibilities housed in this office. In addition, several service divisions such as Transportation, Child Nutrition, Safety, and Maintenance and Operations falls under this division. 

Although Eanes ISD’s fiscal year does not begin until Sept. 1, planning for each year’s budget starts early in the calendar year. After applying the state’s current public education funding formula, the Business Office develops a budget and determines how the available funding will be used to support the district’s mission. The Board of Trustees approves a budget and tax rate each year. In 2008-09 Eanes has a property tax rate of $1.04 (per $100) for the General Fund and .1625 of Debt Service for a total tax rate of $1.2025 per $100 taxable property value.
