Mission Statement
Serve young children in an inclusive, nurturing and academically-rich environment.
Philosophy
We believe every child is an individual, learning differently and at his/her own pace. Therefore, learning is best developed by offering a variety of hands-on experiences so children can understand themselves in relationship to the world as they play. Teachers provide developmentally appropriate activities and materials to foster the growth of the child. The Eanes CDC program will reinforce each child's individuality and cultural background as well in a positive, nurturing, child-centered environment. Our goal is to maximize each child's potential and stimulate their learning and development.
Certifications
Texas Rising Star
Eanes CDC has been invited to participate in a quality child care collaborative project to gain equivalency to accreditation status. Worksource-Childcare Solutions, Family Connections and Austin Community College support centers pursuing rising star status.
Upon recertification, Eanes CDC will continue to receive a variety of assistance and resources including the support from mentors, funds for equipment upgrades and also opportunities to attend trainings from experts in the field of Early Childhood Education.
The CDC staff will be required to maintain the 4 star rating that the CDC Program has been awarded. Rising Star Status will ensure that all children under six are healthy, nurtured and prepared to succeed in school. Currently we have 3 locations that are 4 Star Accredited: Barton Creek, Cedar Creek, and Valley View.
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
The Eanes CDC has successfully completed NAEYC process during the spring of 2011. The NAEYC accreditation is valid though May 2016. NAEYC operates a national, voluntary accreditation system for any public or privates schools or centers serving children from birth through kindergarten. The accreditation process helps identify and create high-quality, early childhood programs and schools. For more information about NAEYC, the Accreditation process, its Standards and/or Philosophy, please visit their website at www.naeyc.org.
