ATS Update - Pictures, March 5, 2012
The Adult Transition Services Program (formerly the 19+ Program) supports young adults with special needs during their transition from post-high school to the real world. The program focuses on assisting these young adults in developing vocational and independent living skills. By law, the District continues to educate these students until age 22.
The existing space for ATS students is in a portable classroom on an elementary school campus. A new facility would provide an age-appropriate adult environment to accommodate increases in this adult student population. The bond also includes funding to replace life skills equipment used in this program.
